MLK Weekend of Service 2026

In January 2026, Repair mobilized more than 8,000 volunteers nationwide through its MLK Weekend of Service, answering urgent community needs while carrying forward Dr. King’s legacy through meaningful Jewish action. Working alongside 150 partner organizations nationwide, volunteers completed 8,078 acts of service and learning: donating more than 36,600 pounds of food, packing 15,500 care kits, and contributing 19,500 essential items for neighbors in need.

Repair the World Miami

Repair the World Miami, in partnership with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, JCRC Be Well, Catalyst Miami, Rekindle, Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Beth El Church, and St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, brought together 115 people for the MLK Weekend of Service.

Repair the World Miami Volunteers

Participants took part in an intergenerational day of hands-on service projects, including beautifying a community garden by refreshing the garden with 100 new plants, packing 200 care kits and serving 200 meals for community members facing food insecurity, and painting a mural at Miami’s oldest church. Together, they contributed a total of 327 service hours while strengthening the local community.

In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, Repair the World New York led 87 Jewish service programs in partnership with 25 partners during the MLK Weekend of Service. We engaged 2,403 participants in 5,816 hours of service and learning to address food access, civic engagement, and economic justice.
